TIPS & TRICKS
- Recording Tip #1
When recording data, what format should I use?
The best method is to set your software settings to record in Mode 1 and to “close” your session. The Mode 1 setting has been the most consistent in transferring data to a cdr. Closing the session prevents any data from being rerecorded to the cdr. In addition, by closing the session this allows faster access to the data. Multiple sessions and open sessions will slow your access to the data.
- Recording Tip #2
How do I create a master that can be read by my duplication company?
Your best master will made from copy the physical image from your hard drive. Try not to copy from disc to disc as this method has the potential to bring out the worst in your cdr media. Try using a high grade cdr such as Taiyo Uden or even Mitsui for your master. These brands have been used by DiskCopy for years with a great success rate.
